About this grant
This grant provides continued support to research that explores emerging issues, as well as promising innovations in the community philanthropy field. The centerpiece of the project was the 2005 release of "On the Brink of New Promise: The Future of U.S. Community Foundations" report, produced by Blueprint Research & Design, Inc. Over the past two years, the report and ideas expressed in it have saturated the community foundation field through widespread distribution, public presentations, consulting engagements, an online application toolkit, and four follow-up "Future Matters" reports. This has had a profound impact on individual community foundations, as well as broad field strengthening initiatives. Over the upcoming 15-month grant period, the grantee will produce and promote four additional "Future Matters" reports and coordinate with and advise two other major community foundation development support initiatives.
