About this grant
The rapid increase in the number of community foundations — along with the development of new community products, such as donor-advised funds, and new strategies, such as community foundations acting as centers of philanthropy for their region — has given rise to questions from those concerned about the future of community foundations. Several key organizations in American philanthropy are struggling to monitor and assess these issues.Funding will support Community Foundation Futures, a research project that explores emerging issues in the community foundation field as well as emerging innovations. Blueprint Research & Design will launch the project by establishing a national advisory committee and throughout the effort will cooperate with the Community Foundation Leadership program of the Council on Foundations. The goal of the project is to provide new life to the future of community foundations and then pass the direction and management of this work to the Community Foundation Leadership team.Blueprint Research & Design is a research, design and strategy consulting firm serving foundations. It works to develop effective philanthropic programs that achieve both community results and organizational goals.
