About this grant
This grant will enable the National Foundation for Civil Society Development to devise appropriate strategies and strengthen its capacity for working at local and regional levels in Croatia. During the grant period, the organization will strengthen its partnerships with regional nonprofit sector infrastructure organizations, including local grantmaking organizations, through targeted grant support, coordination of related activities and initiatives, networking opportunities, and training and information programs.During the past year and a half, the organization maintained regional coordinators in four offices across Croatia. These coordinators organized strategic planning meetings and focus groups in each region for the purpose of developing the foundation’s approaches to building nonprofit sector infrastructure and resourcing local civic initiatives through its grantmaking. Based in Zagreb, the organization is an independent grantmaking foundation supported with state lottery funds.
