About this grant

The Union of Associations of Citizen Advice Bureaux (UACAB) was created to support the development of civil society in Poland. It provides capacity-building services to citizen advice bureaus and represents their interests at national and international levels.Multiyear funding will enable UACAB to expand its membership; improve the quality of services provided by advice bureaus; promote the idea of citizen counseling and advice bureaus as important ways to combat social exclusion; advocate for changes in social policy that will better accommodate the needs of socially excluded people; and strengthen international cooperation among citizen advice bureaus in Europe in order to exchange experiences and encourage citizen counseling at the international level.Currently, UACAB has 30 members across Poland that provide free and accurate information and advice on citizens’ rights.
