About this grant

This grant will provide continued support to the Harvard Family Research Project at Harvard University in its efforts to build and support afterschool research, practices, and policies. Specifically, the Supporting New Day for Learning Evaluation and Research will: 1) continue to maintain the only national database of afterschool research studies and evaluations; 2) continue to develop research briefs and synthesize others with the purpose of getting and using information for program, systems, and policy improvements; and 3) identify more effective ways of disseminating research to an audience that includes policymakers and practitioners. Harvard Family Research Project’s intent is to ensure that all children and youth have equal access to a set of integrated school, afterschool, summer learning, and other supports to create the new and diverse learning opportunities that youth need to graduate from high school with the broad knowledge and skills necessary for success in the 21st century’s global economy and community.
