About this grant

This grant will allow the Finance Project to help states complete and implement afterschool sustainability plans. As the field of afterschool has grown, a common challenge for states and communities is creating sustainable funding for programs and activities. Although the Finance Project has developed funding tools and materials that serve as a base for building sustainability, there is a need for increased assistance. Multiyear funding will support activities that include developing tools and technical assistance resources to support afterschool programming at the state level; providing targeted technical assistance to individual statewide afterschool networks and network leaders; and strengthening the field of afterschool by convening stakeholders and disseminating knowledge and best practices. The Finance Project is part of the Afterschool Technical Assistance Collaborative, a consortium of national organizations working to further statewide afterschool networks.
