About this grant
The Kirwan Institute for the Study of Race and Ethnicity at Ohio State University – with support from the Ohio State University Foundation and in collaboration with several other organizations – is developing the Structural Racism Caucus as a way to bring together researchers, advocates and practitioners in order to pool their research and refine their understanding of structural racism. Multiyear funding will enable the caucus to develop structural racism tools that promote change; communicate messages about structural racism to the community change field; encourage collaboration and cohesiveness among diverse players working to address racial equity; and create an anthology of articles and papers on structural racism, which will be available through the Web site and as a publication.During the first year, the caucus created a structural racism caucus Web site; began research for a structural racism bibliography; and determined the most effective organizational structure.
