About this grant
The National Asian Pacific American Legal Consortium (NAPALC) is a collaboration of three U.S. regional Asian-American legal advocacy groups — the New York-based Asian American Legal Defense and Education Fund; the Asian Law Caucus in San Francisco; and the Asian Pacific American Legal Center of Southern California. Since its establishment in 1991, NAPALC has created a range of programs to protect and advance the rights and opportunities of Asian Americans in the United States.Funding will support capacity-building efforts to increase major donors and develop an effective mail campaign strategy. Specific objectives include increasing fundraising with affiliates by identifying individual donors to help strengthen both local and national efforts; attracting additional board members to contribute to fundraising capacity; and launching a four-year direct mail campaign to increase revenue and membership.NAPALC’s mission is to help the Asian-American community gain a voice in national policymaking and discussion related to the rights and opportunities of Asian Americans and other historically disadvantaged U.S. populations.
