About this grant
The program goal is to consolidate and strengthen the philanthropic community in Bulgaria. During the grant period, the Bulgarian Donors’ Forum will increase its membership, develop its services for member and nonmember organizations, advocate for improvements in the environment for philanthropy in Bulgaria, cooperate with similar organizations in Europe and globally on efforts to develop philanthropy, and strengthen its organizational capacity and financial sustainability. The grantee was established in 2004 with the mission to promote the development of civil society and philanthropy in Bulgaria. During 2010-2013, the grantee’s achievements included attracting new members, providing high quality services to its members and other clients, pioneering new giving mechanisms, and publishing influential research and analyses on a wide range of philanthropy-related subjects.
