About this grant
Georgia’s waters support myriad aquatic ecosystems and play a key role in the state’s economy. However, poor management, record droughts, and recent legal rulings have created an urgent need for the state to develop sustainable water use policies. The Georgia Wildlife Federation, the state’s oldest and largest member-supported conservation organization, promotes water conservation, efficiency, and sound water management through its members and as a leader of the Georgia Water Coalition. With a two-year renewal from Mott, the federation will continue to promote and implement conservation-based approaches to water management.
