About this grant

This grant will support Collaborative Communications Group in its continued efforts to support the Mott-funded New Day for Learning demonstration sites developing seamless learning systems that improve student success and include afterschool and summer learning opportunities throughout the day, year-round, and offered in multiple places throughout a community. This project will allow ten district-community partnerships (San Francisco; Providence, Rhode Island; Atlanta; Chicago; Charleston, South Carolina; Denver; Flint; Omaha; Peekskill, New York; and St. Paul) to participate in a learning community that includes opportunities for exchanging ideas and lessons learned, examining new initiatives, and receiving technical assistance from a cadre of Mott grantees. Specifically, the grantee will: 1) convene meetings and site visits for the demonstration sites and New Day for Learning Advisory Board; 2) manage an interactive Web site; 3) organize audio conferences for the demonstration sites; and 4) provide support to the advisory board, Mott-funded technical assistance resource experts, and the statewide afterschool networks in connecting and sharing information and resources with the sites.
