About this grant

Through the project, Building the Capacity of Michigan’s Workforce System, Corporation for a Skilled Workforce will help the state by fostering the growth and development of Michigan Regional Skills Alliances grantees; building the capacity of Michigan’s workforce development community to establish sectoral employment development approaches; and increasing the capacity of state workforce boards to become better leaders in addressing regional workforce issues.Funding will enable the corporation to form a learning network among grantees that will meet three times to ensure effective, sustainable learning networks; increase cross-project peer learning, issue identification and issue resolution; and build the state’s capacity to facilitate learning networks.Corporation for a Skilled Workforce, established in 1991, works to help communities thrive in a knowledge and skill-driven economy.
