About this grant
In 2004, Mott began requiring re-granting grantees to check the names of sub-grantees against various terrorist watch lists in compliance with the USA PATRIOT Act. Mott makes grants to a number of organizations that subsequently re-grant a portion of Mott funds to other organizations located in the United States, Europe, Russia, South Africa and South America. CompuMentor provides technical support and training to these grantees to help them comply with the act. This grant increase will enable CompuMentor to work with Mott grantees recently added to the original group, especially those in Eastern Europe; develop a CD-ROM so training materials will be available to future Mott grantees; create and publish on TechSoup.org four articles emerging from experience gained during the project; and document lessons learned in order to build the capacity of the wider nonprofit technology consultant community.
