About this grant
In memory of Judith O’Connor, the late president and chief executive officer of BoardSource, the board is creating an endowment fund to honor her contributions to the nonprofit sector. During her life, O’Connor was dedicated to promoting the nonprofit sector and the importance of nonprofit boards.This grant will go to the endowment fund, which will be used for three purposes: to support a lectureship to honor outstanding nonprofit leaders, with the lecture being held in conjunction with the BoardSource Leadership Forum; to provide scholarships allowing young leaders in the nonprofit sector to attend the forum; and to support a fellow-in-residence program.BoardSource, established in 1988, provides a range of programs and services on governance issues that include publications, education programs and information services to board members, chief executives and other nonprofit leaders.
