About this grant
The Mpilo Ministries Trust was established to provide administrative, office and logistical support to enable Archbishop Desmond Tutu to respond to the many requests for his counsel, leadership and moral guidance on issues ranging from racism to peace building to reconciliation. The Archbishop himself receives no payments from the trust, which is run by an administrative assistant and other support staff. This grant will provide support for office expenses, staff salaries and other related costs to ensure that the trust is able to handle the numerous demands placed upon the Archbishop to visit conflict-ridden parts of the world, deliver keynote speeches, promote healing and reconciliation, and work toward peace and racial tolerance.
