About this grant

The Emerging Practitioners in Philanthropy Project addresses the professional needs of emerging young grantmakers, particularly individuals of color. It also helps meet the corresponding need for the foundation field to train and retain well-prepared and diverse new talent. The program provides scholarships for young grantmakers to access training, education and networking opportunities. This grant will enable the New World Foundation to provide funding and technical assistance, as well as resources, to develop a network of local affiliates that will build leadership skills, provide access to resources and create networking opportunities for the next generation of grantmakers. The New World Foundation has supported organizations working to strengthen and expand the active participation of all citizens in American democracy since 1954.
