About this grant
This grant will enable the Community Training and Assistance Center (CTAC) to replicate the pay-for-performance system — that was successful in Denver — in Delaware. According to this system, teacher pay is linked to student progress, which not only rewards good teaching but also encourages schools and school districts to be more supportive of classroom learning and community priorities.Multiyear funding will support a two-phase project that includes assisting leaders in the design and pilot phases of pay for performance and analyzing the impact on student achievement, systems change and community engagement; and building a foundation to understand pay for performance among policymakers, community leaders, foundations and the media.CTAC provides consulting and technical assistance to community-based organizations and institutions throughout the United States.
