About this grant

The Pro Vobis Volunteer Center was established to promote and develop volunteerism in Romania. This grant will address the need not only to promote volunteerism but to build an infrastructure to support it.Multiyear funding will enable the center to pursue objectives that include opening 20 new volunteer centers; developing and improving the work of existing volunteer centers; facilitating networking opportunities among existing and new volunteer centers as well as centers from other Central/Eastern European countries; improving the image of volunteerism; and increasing organizational capacity by improving its communication strategy and managements systems and procedures.The Pro Vobis Volunteer Center, founded in 1992, works to develop volunteerism as a viable resource for solving community problems in Romania.
