About this grant
This grant will provide general purposes support to Project QUEST, Inc. As a nationally recognized sectoral employment program, Project QUEST, Inc., defines the skills required to succeed in targeted, hard-to-fill occupations, then recruits, trains, and develops adults so that they are qualified and ready for employment. Project QUEST, Inc., has placed over 2,500 participants in jobs paying family-sustaining wage levels. A Texas Workforce Commission study indicates that approximately 95 percent of those participants remain employed a year later. The average annual family income for Project QUEST, Inc.’s 2006 graduates is over $34,000 at placement, a significant increase over the pre-training average annual family income of only $8,900.
