About this grant
Catholic Charities of Shiawassee and Genesee Counties provides intervention services for individuals and families in crisis. More than 80 percent of those served are nonCatholic, and the organization serves over 150,000 meals and provides over 100,000 items to families with low or no annual income. This grant increase will enable the grantee to transform the outdated cafeteria into a fully functional kitchen to accommodate its North End Soup Kitchen’s new downtown Flint extension site, Holy Angel’s Soup Kitchen and Warming Center.
