About this grant
This grant will enable the American Youth Policy Forum to continue to provide timely and relevant information on the importance of serving the disconnected youth population. The grantee recently held a series of forums on Capital Hill to inform federal stakeholders on the disconnected youth and dropout challenge; researched critical policy issues and areas that remain a challenge for practitioners/policymakers to implement efforts on behalf of the target population; and convened a workgroup of experts, key leaders, researchers, and practitioners to identify research-supported best practices that increase support for disconnected youth. In the next phase of this effort, the grantee will undertake a set of capacity-building activities to increase capacity at the federal and state levels to support a disconnected youth agenda and leverage resources to ensure that all students succeed.
