About this grant
This grant will enable the American Youth Policy Forum to develop a resource guide for policymakers, community leaders and others of successful policies, practices and programs that reconnect dropouts to education and employment opportunities. Funding will support activities that include identifying six to eight communities and three to four states with innovative and successful policies, practices and programs to serve as case studies; compiling and publishing a Policymaker’s Guide to Practices and Policies to Reconnect Out-of-School Youth to the Mainstream; and disseminating the guide to policymakers at the national, state and local levels, and to national membership organizations.The American Youth Policy Forum provides policymakers and their senior aides with information and experiences useful in the development of an effective youth education, and a training and transition-to-employment system for the U.S.
