About this grant

This grant will support the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities’ efforts to inform policymakers and the public about federal budget proposals under consideration in Congress. In order to reduce the deficit, the federal government is seriously considering significant cuts in a range of spending programs, many of which help working families.Funding will enable the center to work with national, state and local organizations to raise awareness about the implications of federal budget proposals. The center is a nonpartisan, nonprofit research organization and policy institute that analyzes government policies and programs, particularly those affecting low- and moderate-income people.
