About this grant
This grant will enable the Workforce Alliance to assist in broad-based efforts to inform policymakers, the media and the public about the implications of federal proposals to cut funding for key domestic programs and to change budget rules and program structures in a way that leads to even deeper cuts in the future. Mott funds will support communications strategies and a national coordinator at the alliance who will serve as a liaison, connecting workforce development organizations to state and national budget advocacy coalitions. The Workforce Alliance is a diverse coalition of experienced leaders from the field of workforce development who advocate for more effective federal policies to help more workers obtain the skills they need and to help more businesses hire the skilled workers they need to compete in today’s economy.
