About this grant
This grant will provide continuing support to the Brookings Institution for its Budgeting for National Priorities project. The project seeks to promote greater fiscal responsibility by developing new ideas, educating the public, and finding common ground among federal fiscal experts and policymakers. To accomplish these goals, the grantee conducts research, policy analyses, and outreach activities, all aimed at defining the magnitude of the federal deficit problem and producing policy solutions that will attract the attention and support of federal policymakers. During the past several years, the project has produced a range of educational and policy materials that received extensive attention by the media, policymakers, and other influential stakeholders. Located in Washington, DC, the Brookings Institution is widely recognized and valued as a nonpartisan, balanced source of policy research and analysis.
