About this grant
As the temporary employment services sector increasingly serves as a point of entry to employment for disadvantaged jobseekers, several nonprofit workforce development organizations have developed alternative staffing programs. These nonprofit services provide temporary employment opportunities while simultaneously addressing the clients’ barriers to employment. This renewal grant will provide Pillsbury United Communities, operating in Minneapolis, Minnesota, with funds for its alternative staffing program, to complete its participation in a four-site demonstration project investigating the labor market outcomes for disadvantaged jobseekers.
