About this grant
The program goal is to promote public participation in policymaking in Ukraine. The Europe XXI Foundation is a leading Ukrainian think tank whose mission is to contribute to Ukraine’s European and Euro-Atlantic integration through democratization of governance and strengthening public participation in policy development. The grantee works to strengthen the capacity, impact, and credibility of civil society organizations as contributors to the public policy process. Over the next three years, the grantee will examine and apply the lessons from the democratic transitions in its East European neighbors and the impact these transitions have had on engaging civil society in public policy dialogue. In the previous grant period, the grantee successfully concluded its first "Advocacy School" for civil society organizations, and it cohosted the fifth World Movement for Democracy conference in Kyiv. Founded in 1998, the Europe XXI Foundation facilitates public participation in the policy process as a means of securing Ukraine’s development as a European democracy.
