About this grant
The Community Development Resource Association is one of the oldest organizations in South Africa working on strengthening nonprofit organizations. It works with development practitioners, organizations, and movements that are engaged in social transformation with poor and marginalized communities. It has provided technical assistance in organizational development to nonprofits and development agencies by conducting action research; promoting improved policies and practices; sponsoring training courses, workshops, seminars, and dialogues; and through consultancies. This grant will support the continuation of these efforts to strengthen primarily South African nonprofits at the local community, regional, and national level, as well as governmental agencies and university departments. The association will also continue to work worldwide by networking, undertaking consultancies, and sponsoring and facilitating conferences related to organizational development practices and the promotion of social change.
