About this grant

The Community Development Resource Association is a South African organization that provides organizational development support to nonprofits and development agencies throughout the world. It facilitates training courses, seminars, and dialogues for development practitioners, organizations, and movements that are engaged in social change with poor and marginalized communities. Previous Mott support assisted the grantee in launching an annual digest, documenting the experiences of development practitioners and challenges facing the sector. This grant renewal will continue to support efforts to strengthen primarily South African nonprofits at local, regional, and national levels, as well as governmental agencies and university departments and to promote a people-centered approach to development. The grantee will also continue to work worldwide by networking, undertaking consultancies and sponsoring and facilitating conferences related to organizational development practices and the promotion of social change.
