About this grant
The program goal is to promote international private and family philanthropy. To this end, Charities Aid Foundation initiated a program to encourage high-net-worth individuals from middle-income countries to become effective philanthropists. Activities have included researching private and family giving among high-net-worth individuals, working with relevant networks of wealth managers and financial advisors, developing donor-advised funds and support services, and providing technical assistance and advice to donors. This grant increase will support evaluation and dissemination of project results and travel costs for international speakers at donor education courses in Russia and Brazil. Registered in 1974 as a charity in the United Kingdom, Charities Aid Foundation possesses a unique combination of charitable status and the ability to provide banking services that enables it to help donors and charities both in the United Kingdom and abroad.
