About this grant
The city of Flint currently is pursuing efforts to improve and beautify city entrances and exits. Primarily funded by the city’s Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) allocation, clean-up and beautification activities will take place along several highway entrances and exit ramps. Improving access points from the freeways into Flint will support local economic development.Funding will provide matching funds, which when combined with MDOT funds will support improvements to highway off-ramp entrances to downtown Flint. The project will include landscaping, removal of brush and weeds, removal of rusted fencing, and relocation of fencing out of the visibility of traffic. The city of Flint, established in 1855, has been a Mott grantee since 1937.
