About this grant

The Whaley Historical House, once the home of Flint pioneers and philanthropists Robert J. Whaley and Mary McFarlan Whaley, was donated to the Whaley Historical Association in 1976 to be used as a historic house museum. Funding will enable the association to return the house to its original design; increase educational outreach activities through the addition of a classroom; and make the home more accessible to residents as a community resource. The Whaley Historical Association was established in 1975 by a group of six nonprofit community organizations.
