About this grant
Crossroads Village and Huckleberry Railroad is a 35-acre “living village” located approximately six miles northeast of Flint. With 32 historic structures that highlight the heritage of the greater Flint area and give visitors a sense of Michigan life in the late 1800s, the village is a popular attraction for Genesee County residents and tourists.Funding will enable the Genesee County Parks and Recreation Commission to pursue recommendations of a recent study for physical and programmatic improvements including landscaping, signage and the development of three summer programs. The commission is dedicated to providing Genesee County residents with affordable, quality recreational and educational facilities. It has operated the village since its opening in 1976.
