About this grant
The current growing global interdependence emphasizes the need for more comprehensive, better resourced and more closely coordinated and effective efforts to promote the rule of law.Funding will enable the American Bar Association Fund for Justice and Education to support an international rule of law symposium in November 2005 entitled "Advancing the Rule of Law to Solve Global Problems." The goal of the symposium is to persuade leaders in the U.S. and abroad of the importance of the rule of law in addressing global challenges. It will bring together leading thinkers and actors from more than 40 countries to develop a shared vision and a coordinated approach to achieve this goal.Through the Fund for Justice and Education, the American Bar Association encourages and assists U.S. lawyers in their efforts to reach out to their own communities and help those in need.
