Florida Statewide Afterschool Network

About this grant

This grant will support the Children’s Services Council of Florida which coordinates the Florida Statewide Afterschool Network. The Florida Statewide Afterschool Network will focus on building capacity for long-term success and advancing systems change for afterschool and expanded learning in Florida. Over the next three years, the network will support the development of policy, partnerships, and funding to benefit youth in afterschool and expanded learning programs. The network’s specific initiatives will include: 1) developing a campaign to support increased state funding for afterschool programs; 2) creating new professional development opportunities for afterschool providers and administrators; and 3) implementing a communication and outreach strategy to raise the visibility of the network and the afterschool field.
