Oregon Statewide Afterschool Network

About this grant

This grant will support the Oregon Association for the Education of Young Children which coordinates the Oregon Statewide Afterschool Network. The Oregon Statewide Afterschool Network will focus on building capacity for long-term success and advancing systemic change for afterschool and expanded learning in Oregon. Over the next three years, the network will support the development of policy, partnerships, and funding to benefit youth in afterschool programs. The network’s specific initiatives will seek to increase the quality and sustainability of expanded learning opportunities throughout the state by working to create: 1) a new statewide evaluation system for afterschool and summer programs; 2) state policies to support summer learning opportunities; and 3) partnerships with schools and colleges to accelerate dual credits in science, technology, engineering, and math for students.
