About this grant
The goal of the Family Child Care Provider Network is to help welfare recipients become financially self-sufficient by offering early childhood professional development and business opportunities. This grant will enable 4C Child Care Unlimited to provide funds for the planning and development of home-based, child-care businesses for women transitioning from welfare to self-sufficiency in Genesee County. Additionally, the project will provide other welfare-to-work participants with safe and affordable child-care options. This project is being developed in partnership with the Michigan Department of Human Services and the Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Growth.4C Child Care Unlimited is a resource, referral, training and advocacy agency established in 1970 in response to community concerns about child care.
