About this grant
The Parent-Teacher Home Visit Project was the first large-scale parent engagement strategy based on teachers visiting students in their homes. Schools that have adopted this model have seen markedly improved communication between parents and teachers, more parent involvement in school activities, fewer discipline problems and higher attendance rates.Funding will enable the project to update a video that is used in the training modules for schools and communities wishing to implement the project. The updated video will reflect modifications and refinements made to the program since the video was produced five years ago.The Home Visit Project was created to promote a model for teacher home visits.
