About this grant
The River Alliance of Wisconsin, a statewide river protection group, has an active program in the Great Lakes basin, where more than half of the state’s population resides. Program activities are organized under three categories of work: river revitalization, water policy reform, and local group support. Over the last two years, the alliance has had a number of achievements, such as developing a river revitalization program for the Root River, contributing to the state’s implementation of the Great Lakes Compact, and piloting a citizen’s water quality monitoring program. Over the next two years, the alliance will continue and expand upon such program work, as well as build its own organizational strength through a variety of means.
