About this grant

River Alliance of Wisconsin is celebrating 25 years of empowering citizens to protect water resources in Wisconsin – including Lakes Michigan and Superior – for the benefit of people and the environment. With previous support from the Mott Foundation, the organization has sought to protect Wisconsin waters from mining and farm pollution and has formed a Clear Water Business consortium to support its efforts and campaign. The organization has protected and restored waters including advocating for strong decisions under the Great Lakes Water Resources Compact. With renewed support, the organization will continue its efforts in the Great Lakes basin to reform policy and safeguard Wisconsin water resources; build deeper ties through its Clear Water Business network and its Clear Water Farm program and raise awareness and support to prevent the introduction and spread of invasive species.
