About this grant
This grant will enable the Flint Downtown Development Authority (DDA) to implement a security program that will include increasing off-duty police patrol hours from 30 hours a week to more than 50 hours a week; installing and operating a security camera system for the downtown area that businesses and other properties can link into with compatible equipment; and establishing a downtown Parking Violations Bureau to sustain the program.The DDA, established in 1977, encourages collaboration among businesses and community organizations in efforts to revitalize downtown Flint.
