About this grant
The “Nonprofit Quarterly” was launched as a national journal in late 1999 as a publication of Third Sector New England and, in 2006, spun off into an independent publication. Since 2008, it has transitioned from being solely a quarterly print journal to include an online presence with an interactive Web site offering free daily annotated newswires, weekly newsletters and advice columns, and periodic trend alerts. Nonprofit Quarterly’s mission is to promote an active and engaged democracy. In 2011, it adopted a collaborative journalism model. Online, “Nonprofit Quarterly” has become a source for critical reporting on trends, organizational operations, and dialogue regarding practice for civil society in the 21st century. In print, it is a serious management journal which is research based, but geared to practitioner use. General purpose support will be used to further build Nonprofit Quarterly as a critical resource for nonprofits, philanthropy, and the social sector.
