About this grant
In the second year of a three-year national effort, this grant will allow ACCIÓN USA to continue to achieve greater scale and efficiency in lending to microentrepreneurs and disseminate the lessons learned to the microenterprise field in the United States. ACCIÓN USA is a private, nonprofit organization that provides credit and business training to low- and moderate-income microentrepreneurs. During the first year of the project, ACCIÓN USA piloted Internet lending nationwide, created a new credit scoring model, and pursued strategic national and regional partnerships. It will further develop these innovations in 2007, allowing it to reach more entrepreneurs than any domestic microenterprise program.
