Mott provides partial support to the National Employment Law Project to bolster Michigan’s knowledge of how to piece together a rapid and effective response to severe job loss and economic dislocation. The purpose of this grant increase is to provide additional funding for a one-day training session for leaders of community groups and other nonprofit organizations in Michigan in order to provide an overview of dislocated worker programs and other types of assistance available to help jobless workers. The training is focused on community-based organizations because these groups often come in contact with such workers.
