About this grant
Wisconsin has 1,000 miles of shoreline on Lake Michigan and Lake Superior. Midwest Environmental Advocates, a statewide environmental law group in Wisconsin, promotes sound management practices to ensure lasting protections for both of these Great Lakes. With prior Mott support, the grantee worked in Wisconsin to implement the Great Lakes-St. Lawrence River Basin Water Resources Compact, protect groundwater resources, and promote water conservation measures. This renewal will allow the grantee to continue these efforts to protect water quantity while also seeking to ensure Wisconsin upholds strong water quality protections.
