About this grant
Environmental Defence, which works across Canada to protect environmental and human health, has led efforts to position Great Lakes water quality issues at the top of the provincial and Canadian national agendas. With Mott support, the organization has worked to increase Great Lakes protections through the Ontario Clean Water Act, the Canadian Environmental Protection Act, and the Great Lakes Blueprint, an action plan developed by the environmental nonprofit community. This grant increase will further these efforts through a public awareness campaign linked to the newly published book, "Slow Death by Rubber Duck," which illustrates how toxic chemicals impact human health.
