About this grant
This grant will provide support to an endowment fund for the Stefan Batory Foundation. The goal of the endowment-building program is to raise $14.1 million and increase the foundation’s total endowment to $35 million by the end of 2009. At the same time, the foundation is committed to continuing its grantmaking programs and maintaining an annual budget of at least $4 million.The Stefan Batory Foundation is the largest local grantmaker supporting civil society development in Poland. It also supports programs in other countries in the region, including Belarus, Moldova and Ukraine.
