About this grant
The program goal is to promote private giving in Russia. The Moscow office of the Charities Aid Foundation will promote growth in online giving through improvements to its www.blago.ru online giving platform. It will simultaneously launch a media and advertising campaign to foster awareness of, and inclination toward, opportunities for individual giving. The grantee will also widely disseminate best practices related to individual giving and targeted fundraising. In 2012-2014, the grantee staged two fundraising schools for professionals from across Russia. The www.blago.ru site saw the number of individual donations more than double, with their value increasing over this period by 90 percent to nearly $450,000. The site was also able to raise over $13,000 for its own operations. Based in the United Kingdom, the Charities Aid Foundation has offices in Russia, Australia, Bulgaria, India, South Africa, and the United States. It distributes more than $500 million annually to charitable causes worldwide on behalf of individual, corporate, and trust clients.
