About this grant
The program goal is to strengthen organized philanthropy in Ukraine. To this end, this grant will assist the Ukrainian Philanthropists Forum to improve services for members, provide professional support to the philanthropic community, and raise the profile of philanthropy in Ukraine. The grantee will provide conferences and workshops for members and a wider audience. It will build its capacity for research and analysis through regular surveys of philanthropic trends in Ukraine. An improved Web portal and social media presence will help raise public understanding of philanthropy. In 2009-2010, the grantee organized a major research project, conference, and follow-up discussions focusing on philanthropy in times of crisis. In addition to 40 thematic events, the grantee also initiated publication of the "Philanthropic ABCs" series of practical guides for philanthropists. Formally registered in 2005, the Ukrainian Philanthropists Forum is an association of local and international donors promoting responsible and effective philanthropy in Ukraine.
