About this grant
The Community Based Development Programme (CBDP) provides training and capacity building for grassroots and community-based organizations to enable them to be more effective in achieving their goals and objectives. It provides training and support in administrative and financial skills, project management, procedures of meetings, record keeping, marketing, fundraising, and report writing.This grant will enable CBDP to work with poor and vulnerable communities in the Greater Johannesburg Metropolitan Municipality, providing capacity building, leadership training and organizational development skills.The CBDP was established in 1989 by the Kagiso Trust and University of the Witwatersrand to transfer development and management skills to nonprofit leaders. It focuses on community development and community leadership.
